Conformal coatings are applied to finished electronics assemblies and components, such as printed circuit boards (PCBs), to act as protection against moisture, dirt, dust, chemicals, salt, fungus, extreme environments, temperature fluctuation, electrical leakage, and/or other potential contaminants and environmental hazards.
