Safety tags are used to alert workers that a piece of equipment or machinery is unavailable for use, whether it be due to failure, pending maintenance or repairs, or other concerns. Typically, safety tags are brightly colored for maximum visibility (usually yellow or orange). They are commonly marked with a generic warning, such as "Caution," "Danger," or "Warning," in large, bold letters, accompanied by an area of blank space in which users can add further, more specific details.
