Coupling

Time to Read: 1m 1s

A coupling is a device used to connect two shafts at their ends for the purpose of transmitting power. The primary purpose of a coupling is to join two pieces of rotating equipment while permitting some degree of misalignment, end movement, or both. Couplings do not normally allow disconnection of shafts during operation, but specialty torque-limiting couplings can slip or disconnect by design if/when the determined torque limit is exceeded. with careful selection, installation and maintenance of couplings, substantially reduced maintenance costs and downtime can be achieved.

Coupling Suppliers
