Copper Cooling Coils

Copper cooling coils are important components of cooling systems. They can be used for a broad spectrum of applications, from air conditioning to refrigeration and even to cool industrial laser systems. Most commercially available refrigerators and home air conditioners utilize copper cooling coils. Generally, copper cooling coils are manufactured from round, hollow copper tubing between 1/8” and 3/8” in diameter, though this can vary greatly based on application. This tubing is usually bent into circular coils, though square coil designs are not uncommon. The cooling system then transmits the cooling agent, either a liquid or a gas, through the coiled tubing. Cooling coils provide safe, rapid, and uniform cooling. Though cooling coils can be manufactured from a variety of metals, copper is a particularly useful material for cooling coil construction, as it is relatively inexpensive and lightweight, and provides excellent thermal conductivity characteristics.

Copper Cooling Coil Manufacturers:

  • Triad Products Corp. specializes in tube bending and similar operations, and provides copper cooling coils in a range of sizes and configurations to meet the needs of their customers. Triad also manufactures cooling coils from a range of other materials, including carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
