Custom Sewing Companies

Custom sewing within the industrial sector usually refers to the sewing of canvas or leather (and faux leather) soft-sided bags and covers for machinery that is manufactured. Custom sewing is also used to create custom tool and equipment cases to easily store and sort necessary items.

Custom Sewing Manufacturers

  • Airtex Solutions: provides custom bag and case solutions to the industrial market with custom sewing of equipment covers and custom soft-sided cases as well as modification and custom inserts for hard sided cases. Airtex Solutions began serving the custom sewing needs of the industrial market sewing seed and grain bags in the early 1900 and today manufactures custom equipment covers, medical bags, diagnostic and EMT cases as well as promotional items.

In addition to the standard industrial uses of custom sewing (typically involving equipment covers) many B2B and industrial companies make use of custom sewing for promotional give-away items. This custom sewn backpacks, lunch bags, and other promotional bags are a mainstay of trade shows and sales calls.

Custom Sewing Applications

Custom sewing has a vast range of possible applications, both within and outside of the industrial market. In essence, anything created from a soft pliable material can be manufactured efficiently via custom sewing (though many plastics can be assembled through manufacturing processes other than custom sewing).

Among the many common uses of custom sewing in the industrial market are the following:

  • Custom sewing is used to manufacture custom medical cases. These cases are typically custom designed to hold specific medical equipment and the equipment (often made via swiss machining or plastic injection molding) comes with the custom equipment case.
  • Custom sewing is used to create EMT packs. This is very similar to the medical casts, except the custom case is usually designed with additional spaces for certain generic equipment in addition to the equipment being sold by the medical manufacturer.
  • Lawn mower covers are one example of the kind of equipment covers that custom sewing is used to manufacture. Any equipment that needs a cover — either for inclement weather or to protect from dust — that must be shaped to the item being covered will make use of custom sewing.
  • Backpacks, promotional bags, and soft-sided cases or tote bags are all custom sewn give-aways.

While custom sewing is rarely used to directly manufacture industrial products, it is a very common process for providing added value to industrial products or to provide necessary protection or promotion.
